    Jörg Baberowski und Anselm Doering-Manteuffel formulieren in ihrem Essay „Ordnung durch Terror“ apodiktisch: „Überall, wo Herrschaft ausgeübt wird, herrscht eine Ordnung. Sie beruht auf Informationen und Wissen, mit denen Unverstandenes kategorisiert und klassifiziert wird. Jede Klassifizierung aber ist ein Gewaltakt, der die Menschen zwingt, sich einer Ordnung zu unterwerfen. Wer sich nicht fügt, fällt aus der Ordnung heraus.“ Am Beispiel der nationalsozialistischen bzw. stalinistischen Diktatur beschreiben sie dann, im Anschluss an die Metaphorik Zygmunt Baumans, detailliert, was dieses „Herausfallen“ im 20. Jahrhundert bedeuten konnte: Wie „Gärtner“ „jäteten“ Hitler und Stalin das „Unkraut“, sie entsorgten den „Abfall“, der „der Klassifikation trotzt[e] und die Sauberkeit des Rasens zerstört[e]“, d.h. sie vernichteten Menschen, die nicht in ihre rassistischen bzw. nationalistischen Konzepte passten.[...]
